1. Multi-Directional Adjustability
The support rod can be positioned vertically, horizontally, or at an angle using adjustable clamping blocks. Operators can fine-tune guide rail height (to match product centerline), lateral offset (to accommodate width changes), and tilt (for tapered containers). This flexibility eliminates the need for custom brackets when changing product sizes.
2. Quick Tool-Free Repositioning
Spring-loaded or cam-lock clamps allow the support rod to be loosened, slid to a new position, and re-locked by hand – no wrenches required. This reduces changeover time from minutes to seconds on lines with frequent product changes. Built-in scales or position indicators enable repeatable setup for common product sizes.
3. Corrosion-Resistant & Hygienic Construction
Stainless steel support rods (SUS304/SUS316) withstand washdowns, chemical cleaners, and food acids. Smooth, polished surfaces prevent bacterial adhesion and are easy to clean. Optional plastic or rubber end caps prevent debris accumulation inside hollow tubes. Full stainless steel versions (including clamps) meet FDA and EHEDG hygiene standards for food and pharmaceutical lines.
Product Uses
1. Beverage Container Side Guide Mounting
On filling, rinsing, and labeling lines, support rods position guide rails to keep PET bottles, glass bottles, and cans centered. Operators quickly adjust rod height when switching between bottle sizes (e.g., 0.5L to 2L). Stainless steel rods resist corrosion from spilled beverages and daily washdowns. The rods also support guide rails on curved sections.
2. Packaging Line Changeover for Variable Box Sizes
In carton erectors, case packers, and shrink wrappers, support rods allow rapid repositioning of side guides for different case widths. One operator loosens the rod clamps, slides the rail to the new position using a scale, and re-tightens – all in under 30 seconds per rod. Locking indicators prevent accidental movement during production.
3. Pharmaceutical & Electronics Cleanroom Conveyors
Support rods made from electropolished stainless steel or anodized aluminum are used in cleanrooms for vial, syringe, or PCB guide rails. The non-corrosive, particle-shedding-free construction meets ISO Class 6–7 standards. Rod-mounted guide rails can be repositioned without tools, maintaining cleanroom protocol. Compact rod diameters minimize airflow disruption in laminar flow hoods.

The Guide Rail Support Rod is a structural mounting component that positions side guide rails along conveyor frames. Manufactured from stainless steel in multiple diameter and length options, the rod attaches to conveyor profiles through clamping blocks and holds guide rails at adjustable heights and lateral positions. It serves beverage filling lines, packaging systems, and pharmaceutical conveyors where guide rail position must be adjusted for different product dimensions.
Standard guide rail support rods are produced from 201 or 304 stainless steel with a polished surface finish. The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance for washdown environments and prevents rust formation in humid production areas. Aluminum fixing sleeves are available as accessory components for specific clamping systems. The material selection supports use in food processing areas where frequent cleaning with water and detergents takes place.
The support rod is available in internal thread, external thread, and solid round bar configurations to match different mounting clamp types. Internal thread versions feature M6 or M8 tapped ends for screw-in installation. External thread versions include an integrated threaded section with a length of 15 mm for nut-secured mounting. Solid round bar versions provide full-length adjustability within slide clamps. Selected rod models include laser-etched length scales for repeatable position setting during product changeovers.

The support rods work with standard plastic or metal cross clamps that match the rod diameter (12 mm or 16 mm). They attach to aluminum conveyor profiles through T-slot mounting blocks or direct frame clamps. Internal thread versions accept corresponding threaded studs, while external thread versions install with hex nuts. Solid round bar versions slide freely within clamp openings for unrestricted height adjustment.
Stainless steel rods can be cleaned with water, mild detergents, and isopropyl alcohol without surface damage. The polished surface resists adhesive buildup from label residue and product dust. Rods with threaded ends should be inspected periodically for thread wear in applications with frequent adjustment. Replacement rods are available individually and do not require replacement of the entire guide rail assembly.
Standard production uses 201 or 304 grade stainless steel. 316 grade stainless steel is available for applications involving chlorinated water, salt spray, or highly corrosive cleaning agents. Aluminum fixing sleeves are supplied separately as matching mounting accessories.
Standard lengths range from 50 mm to 600 mm for the 12 mm diameter series, and 100 mm to 200 mm for the 16 mm diameter series. Custom lengths, diameter options, and end machining configurations can be produced for volume orders. Length scales can be added to any rod model upon request.
Standard stock lengths ship within 3 to 5 business days for small quantities. Larger orders requiring bulk packaging take 5 to 7 business days. Custom machined rods have extended lead times based on quantity and machining complexity. All timelines are stated in business days and exclude transit time.
The rods are compatible with cross clamps, T-clamps, and mounting blocks designed for 12 mm or 16 mm round rod diameters. Both plastic and stainless steel clamp options work with these rods. Technical drawings with exact dimensional tolerances are available to verify fit with existing clamp hardware.
